About

Hi! I’m Alex, and if you’re reading this you’ve found my site where I ramble on about all things outdoors. Here you’ll find a variety of posts from location ‘guides’ and walks and hikes, to the realities of life on the road.

I’m solo travelling around the UK at the moment with plans of going further afield on the horizon. This blog is just a hobby of mine – capturing parts of the experience wherever I end up, in hopes of helping or inspiring other travellers. What you won’t find here is any professional writing, photography or any sort of journalism. Everything here is pretty amateur and unpolished, but it’s also very unfiltered and human.

If I’m writing about a place, it’s because I recently visited it in person (or I may even still be there), and all the photos you find throughout my posts are my own. I try my best to make each post as information-packed as possible, and you’ll often find GPX routes (sometimes multiple) for walks in the area that I tend to make up whilst I’m there exploring.

Thanks for dropping by – I hope you can find something of value here!
